Pupils give Lego a go!

Newnham Primary School launched a brand new lunchtime club this week, involving children’s favourite construction toy, LEGO!

Pupils from Reception all the way up to Year Six attended the first session, which was popular with both boys and girls.

The children built models with Star Wars Lego as well as ordinary Lego and were able to plan, work together and share in the design of some fantastic building projects.

Kim Cresswell, Headteacher, said: “We hope the new club will encourage children to work together and make friendships outside of their classes. The fact that we had all different year groups attending shows that this is a club that appeals to all ages.”

Anyone that missed the first session is welcome to come along and give it a try next week.
