Getting creative in the kitchen

Newnham’s Foxes Class has been getting creative in the kitchen by cooking vegetable samosas.

Trying out their culinary skills, the children prepared the filling before it was wrapped in pastry.

The pupils enjoyed preparing the potatoes by peeling, cutting, and mashing them, then they added spices and other vegetables.

After all of the preparation was done, it was time to pop the samosas in the oven and wash up all of the equipment before tucking in to the crispy treats.

Mrs Fahey, Class Teacher, said of the experience: “The pupils worked well as a team and really enjoyed the challenge!”
